I’m no chef but #iworkintilit, their jumpsuits are both practical and cute so I can go wherever the day takes me: work, play or both. (Alert – new Indigo color released today!)
When @tilitnyc reached out about a #realreal photoshoot featuring @chefkwameonwauchi and his team at @kithandkindc to showcase the release of @tilit_supply last fall, I was in 💯. A NYC-made clothing line I ❤️ paired with one of the hottest restaurants in DC? Let’s get to work.
I didn’t know what to expect but it wasn’t a hug from a nationally acclaimed, celebrity status chef upon introductions. The tone was set…
I arrived with planned scenarios in mind to show off the apparel vis-a-vis teamwork but we needed none of it. From the Wharf to the kitchen this group didn’t need much prompting because they are a team for real. Even under pressure you can feel trust and camaraderie and the cuisine sings with that collective talent. The gear keeps everyone looking sharp and unified, from street to kitchen.
I’m glad I waited to share. I’ve been storying pics as they pop up in my IG feed and I have loved seeing chefs proudly sharing these images of their work alongside Tilit and Kith/Kin. I’ve gotten to know favs across both brands, I’m sharing some of theirs as well as a few of my own. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet the people behind the flavor for a day and collaborate.
Next on my Tilit list? Overalls! Next on my Kith/Kin list? Jerk Chicken, Brussels or Mushroom Forest (can’t decide) and Plantain Buns with two Thick ‘Ems to go if that’s allowed. Just 10 more days of Whole30 and overalls are rooooomy (uh-oh) 😋
