Its odd to think about fall plans while DC temperatures are still in the upper 80’s and the remnants of hurricane Florence have barely left our area. According to the calendar, kids are in school, fall is here and Halloween is right around the corner. I’m just not feeling like a pumpkin spice latte yet.
Regardless, this year’s family portrait day schedule is published and I’m ready to go! I thought it might be helpful to share photos from last year so that you can decide which date to pick for your calendar. I offer discounted mini sessions on given dates and locations: less driving around the Beltway makes me a happy camper. I’m so grateful to my tried and true, ride or die clients who loop me into their crazy busy soccer gaming, pumpkin picking, hay riding fall weekends each and every year. ❤️ I love watching these kids grow and new arrivals pop up with each passing year!
My first stop this year will be at Lubber Run Park in Arlington on Sunday, October 14th – that’s just a few weeks away! The morning is booked but there’s still room in the afternoon if you would like to reserve your half hour spot – lots more options are available later in season as well but let’s start here.
I discovered this beautiful hidden spot (thanks, Lisa and Brett!) a couple years back now and I love it. A paved trail runs alongside running water through a forest, making it a great fall backdrop. Here is what the location looked like last year over the same weekend last year but as you can see, its always the people who stand out. I’m not sure if we’ll see any fall color given the rain and warmth this fall so far but the forest is enchanting all year round, you can’t lose.
Contact me for more details about this family day or any other! I’m always looking for new places and people to meet so give me a shout if you would like to arrange something in your neck of the woods… Pun very much intended.
