Pierce’s nursery suggests the Fourth of July but the time was Christmas. This is my first “now and later” post, so to speak. I want to share some photos now since we’re closing in on a six month shoot, making introductions a must! But I’m also tucking a few away for the days when the air grows cold and we’re stringing up lights again. There’s a mutual readiness for summer right now so let’s run with that…
Two big sisters were equally excited to take pictures with their newest sib and both did an amazingly gentle and expert job both holding and snuggling their newest muse.
There’s something extremely special about the early days when a new baby has just come home, it humbles me to be invited into it. Baby Pierce gave us plenty of opportunities to see that sacred time and space but he never wanted to stay settled for long, fighting heavy eyelids and yawns with demands to be soothed. Which I believe was his own way of roping his momma into the photos as well. I was glad for that.
I can’t wait to meet up with this family again, the girls are a delight to photograph and I won’t even recognize Baby Pierce, that six month face is always a surprise to me. So stay tuned, much more to come…
