Maya’s gummy grin brightens my day like no other. Every time I see her she greets me with a big, genuine smile: no hiding (like my son likes to do), no “warming up” period, just a big happy, howdy smile. My impulse is always to reach my arms out, scoop her up and give her a squeeze. She’s a charmer.
Maya has grown so much since our last shoot and is sitting up but has no interest whatsoever in crawling, she wants to walk and she wants to walk now. You can try sitting her down but all she wants to do is get up on her feet. Get this kid some comfortable shoes, she’s going to take off the first chance she gets!
Swim time in the baby pool will be the memory that comes to the forefront of Liz and Greg’s mind as they remember this summer with Maya so we put on her wet suit on and got wet. It was awesome for family play time.
I can’t decide which baby hand portrait I like better, the color is so dreamy…
Maya’s eyes looked even more blue under the sunny blue sky.
After pool play, Maya was exhausted and ready for a nap. We came into the cool air conditioning and Liz and Greg read her a book, after which I ducked out quietly to head home. It was the perfect morning. Here’s a slideshow of our fun in the sun and if you would like to check out the online gallery, click here.
