Just two weeks after Roscoe’s birth I returned to his home in Northern Virginia to see how much he had grown. Check him out!
Jacqueline and I emailed frequently through our pregnancies and she told me how the act of creating Roscoe’s nursery was a creative outlet for all the energy and emotion she and Andy felt for the little guy. Now that we are working on a nursery ourselves I completely understand what she meant – I often find myself walking into Fiver’s room and imagining what it will look like, what he will be like and what we will be like as a family, its a really special space. I adore Roscoe’s nature themed room with its neutral tones, bright accents and knitted toys. With the tree Jacqueline and Andy made out of vintage wall paper, its straight out of a magazine:
Like most newborns, Roscoe was much happier when swaddled and close to mom and dad but we did manage a few bare baby shots, could this be a smile?
I love these photos with the new parents:
We even got Chloe in for a family portrait or two…
Here’s a slideshow of the session and if you would like to view the online gallery, click here. A big congrats once again to Jacqueline and Andy on their beautiful little boy. Thanks again for spending so much time on the shoot, I really enjoyed hearing more about Roscoe’s birth, the choices leading up to it and your experience as new parents. I can’t wait to follow in your footsteps. And yes, I came right home and registered for the adorable layette we photographed him in… I am a total copy cat mom!
